A LIFE IN SKETCHES
Click on a sketch to enlarge it and read about its creation.
SKETCHING HAS ALWAYS BEEN A PART OF my life, and has served many purposes. A sketchbook is a private place to try out idea and techniques, to exercise the eye, hand and mind, to quickly capture something of interest that may (or may not) be developed later.
Sketches are unequaled at capturing and holding a moment. The time spent in an outwardly quiet posture, the intimate connection between subject, vision, intention, and mark; all these combine in a memory rich with multi-sensory nuances.
